Kaşıkçı

The founders of Khashoggi are from the Turkish tribes who migrated to the Balkans from the Karaman region during the Ascension period of the Ottoman Empire. After the 1877-1878 Ottoman-Russian War, known as the 93 (1293) War in our history, they migrated to Turkey from Bulgaria. After the Tsardom of Tırnova fell and was taken by the Ottomans, in 1395, the village of Dobramirka was attached to the Nikapul sanjak and the Skender principality, and Turkish raiders entered the Balkans. The Muslim Turks (Konya) who came to the Danube plain and the Balkans after 1395 are from the Karamanoğulları dynasty, who went as raiders from the Karaman region. They lived here for five centuries until their migration back. Dobramirka Village is in the district of Selvi (Sevlievo) located in Deliorman region and registered in Gabrovo province. It is included in the records that it was previously connected to the province of Tırnova (Veliko Tarnovo).

Dobramirka Village was founded during the second Bulgarian Tsarist period and bears the name of the Tsar, Dobromir. With this name, the village has the title of village, which has never changed its name in the Ottoman records and current records for five hundred years, while it was under the rule of the Ottomans. In other words, before 1878 and after the establishment of the Bulgarian state, it has the same name until today. Before 1395, 50 Bulgarian households lived in the village of Dobramirka. After the Turks came and settled in the village, there was no Bulgarian population in the village and they migrated to other places. As a result of the Ottoman's loss of the Balkans, mass migrations from the village to Turkey started in 1878 and continued until 1892.

Villagers of Dobramirka who immigrated to Turkey between 1877-1878 settled in the village of Kaşıkçı in Tekirdağ's center, Ferhadanlı, Kazandere, Veliköy and Kızılpınar in Çerkezköy, the town of Velimeşe in Çorlu and Kurtdere in Balıkesir.

The people of Bukurovo Village (a neighboring village there) in the district of Selvi (Sevlievo) also migrated to Anatolia in 1877; some of them to Balıkesir-Kurtdere Village; some of them settled in Sağlamtaş Town of Tekirdağ-Malkara and some other villages and towns of Tekirdağ.

Although today 80% of the population is Turks in Bulgaria's Kardzhali, Razgrad, Silistra, Shumen, Burgas, Plovdiv (Plovdiv), Dobrik provinces; There are hardly any Turks living in the Tırnova, Selvi and Pazarcık regions located in the Deliorman region. The current population of the district of Selvi is 28,000. The arable land of Dobramirka Village is 24,500 decares, and its total registered lands are 35,000 decares. The village is located in the middle part of the great balkan (forest). When the Turks settled here for the first time, they were thirsty, so they dug a lot of water wells in the village. Most of the names of fountains and streams in the village are still in Turkish. (Like Balıklıpınar, Uzunpınar, Karaçalıpınarı, Altındere, Kurtdere…) Some of the mountain, hill and local names still used in Turkish today are as follows: Yalakçeşme, Kaynak, Meşelik.

The population of 2019 was 689 people.
